PM discusses Covid-19 with Japan, Czech

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Monday sent a letter to Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo, expressing sympathy for the Japanese losses caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. 

In the letter, the Prime Minister lauded efforts by the Japanese Government and people to control the epidemic and suggested more cooperation between the two countries.

The PM proposed that the two countries continue working closely together to strengthen ASEAN-Japan ties, promote Vietnam-Japan relations and cooperation in politics, diplomacy, investment, trade, and people-to-people exchanges, and at regional and global forums.

PM Phuc the same day held talks with Czech Republic Prime Minister Andrej Babis by telephone to discuss their efforts to tackle Covid-19. Babis lauded Vietnam’s efforts and asked that the two countries expand information sharing and cooperation. PM Phuc asked the Czech government to continue helping the Vietnamese community to stabilize their lives and fight the coronavirus epidemic.
