Co-chairing a meeting with SOEs in Hanoi on Sunday together with Deputy Prime Ministers Le Minh Khai and Tran Luu Quang, the Prime Minister urged ministries, sectors and localities to restructure its management, finance, inputs and supply chains to boost SOEs' key role in the national economy.

Mr. Chinh said SOEs need to boost investment, production, and business and renew old growth drivers like consumption, investment, and exports and focus on digital transformation, green transition, circular economy, knowledge-led economy and sharing economy.

According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, by the end of 2023, Vietnam had more than 670 state-owned enterprises engaged in major sectors and industries in the economy.
