PM pays working visit to Military Technical Academy

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the Military Technical Academy to teach students the history and heroic cultural traditions of the Vietnamese nation and army as he paid a working visit to the Academy on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister said the mission of the Academy is to create surprises in the research of weapons and equipment; closely follow the domestic and international situation; scientific research must be closely linked to reality, and a database must be built to develop artificial intelligence.

He requested the Academy to focus on building and updating training programs, directing research to emerging issues such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor technology, and the Internet of Things.

PM Chinh stressed the need to participate in the Program "Developing human resources for the semiconductor industry to 2030, with a vision to 2050", while paying attention to training a team of design engineers, chief engineers, and general engineers to serve the defense industry development.

He emphasized researching and applying new scientific and technological advances in the production and mastering new-generation weapons and technical equipment.
