(VOVWORLD) -A special stamp commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and 35th anniversary of the All-People Defense Festival was issued on Wednesday.

The stamp set highlights the history and heroic traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army in the struggle for national independence and journey towards modernization.
La Hoang Trung, Director of the Postal Department at the Ministry of Information and Communications, said, "The stamp set offers a multidimensional message and contributes to affirming the revolutionary traditions of the Vietnam People's Army in the past 80 years."
"The designs vividly portray the noble image of 'Uncle Ho's Soldiers” and a Vietnam People's Army that was 'born from the people, fights for the people, and serves the people," Trung added.
