President Joe Biden calls on American politicians to act responsibly
(VOVWORLD) - President Joe Biden released a statement Saturday congratulating Republican leader Kevin McCarthy, who was elected House speaker early the same day, adding that he hopes to work with those across the political aisle.

In the statement, Biden insisted that it’s time to govern the nation responsibly and in a way that puts Americans’ needs above all else.
After the 15th round of voting, GOP leader McCarthy was elected the US House of Representatives’ Speaker, ending a dramatic and contentious four days of fierce competition among Republican members.
