The visit has been published by dozens of Indonesian newspapers, focusing on the results of the talks between the leaders of the two countries. At the bilateral meeting on Thursday at the Bogor Palace, President Widodo and President Phuc discussed measures to strengthen their bilateral strategic partnership.
The official website of the Presidential Secretariat quoted President Joko Widodo as emphasizing Indonesia's commitment to continue strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and calling on Vietnam to consolidate the ASEAN.
Solo Pos newspaper reported that President Widodo wants to open new routes from Da Nang to Denpasar and Ho Chi Minh City to Jakarta, and suggested restoring direct flights between economic and tourism centers of Vietnam and Indonesia.
