(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang and Vietnamese delegates concluded a state-level visit to China. Earlier, President Sang visited Guangzhou, where President Ho Chi Minh and many other Vietnamese revolutionists lived and took part in revolutionary activities. He also burnt incense to commemorate Pham Hong Thai, a Vietnamese activist. The same day, President Sang met with Hu Chunhua, Secretary of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee. During the meeting, Sang urged the two sides to further develop their potential in the areas of economics, trade, science and technology, culture, education, health, and tourism. He called on both countries to uphold their role in maintaining the effectiveness of the cooperative mechanism, particularly the mechanism of periodical conferencing to review cooperation between Vietnam’s localities and Guangzhou, hosted by the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry to step up bilateral relations.
