(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang paid tribute to the Hung Kings at the national historical complex dedicated to them in Phu Tho province on Sunday.

President Sang and provincial leaders offered incense to the Hung Kings, the founders of the nation, and prayed for a peaceful, prosperous, and enduring nation. He said the Vietnamese people are determined to promote national unity in pursuit of the goals of global integration, a prosperous people, and a strong, democratic, just, and civilized nation.

Mr. Sang also laid a wreath and burned incense in tribute to Lac Long Quan and Au Co, the legendary ancestors of the Vietnamese nation. President Sang urged the leaders and people of Phu Tho province to preserve and promote the values of the Hung Kings. He asked them to care for social beneficiary families and people who have rendered service to the nation to ensure them a sufficient Tet.
