Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, his wife and the entourage arrived in Bali, Indonesia on Wednesday, 16 November, 2011. They will attend the 19th ASEAN Summit and a series of related summits, namely the ASEAN-China Commemorative Summit, ASEAN +1 summits with Japan, the Republic of Korea and India, the 14th ASEAN Summit + 3, the 3rd ASEAN-United States summit, the ASEAN-UN summit 4th, the 6th summit of the East Asia and finally the Mekong-Japan summit.

The Vietnamese delegation will proactively participate in all the meetings with an aim to strengthen solidarity within ASEAN and accelerate the building of an ASEAN community by 2015. It would also help to strengthen relations between ASEAN and its partners to enhance the role of the association in the region, and promote an environment of peace, stability, cooperation for regional development.
