At Saturday conference on promoting investment in the central highland attended by 1,000 delegates in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province, the Prime Minister said after 40 years of liberation, the region lags behind in various sectors: “The central highland needs a diverse strategy for ecological, community, spiritual and recreational tourism. Large special cultivation areas should be established, while large-scale organic and clean agriculture need to be developed, expanding the product value chain. Attention should be paid to local human resources, key infrastructure projects, and residential areas’ re-planning. Regional connectivity between the central highland and central coastal and southeastern region, and Ho Chi Minh City should be strengthened.

On the sidelines of the conference, a number of investment projects in the central highlands were signed.
