A project jointly organized by the Institute for Social Development Studies (ISDS) and the Department of Health of Long An province is aimed at improving the capacity of commune health stations to control cross infections and provide essential health care services.

It will improve the capacity of grassroots health workers in treatment, support, and referral; improve the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of people in the community in disease prevention, monitoring, and home health care; and help reduce the impact of COVID-19 on vulnerable groups.

The project, financed by the Japanese government, will pilot community-based epidemic prevention models and then expand successful models to other localities nationwide.
