Putin: US’s Golan Heights decision violates UN Security Council resolutions
(VOVWORLD) - The US’s decision to recognize Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights violates UN Security Council resolutions, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday.
Putin told reporters following a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Moscow on Monday that Russian stance has been presented in a statement by Russia's Foreign Ministry saying the US has violated UN Security Council resolutions.
Putin and Erdogan discussed cooperation in the military-technical sphere, including a contract to supply S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems to Turkey. Putin said there are other promising projects on the agenda to supply modern Russian military hardware to Turkey, adding that Russia is committed to providing Turkey with military products.
