Quang Binh has great potential for development in a number of areas such as tourism, forestry, construction materials, electricity, and fisheries. The province is providing investors with preferential policies including exemptions of land and surface rental fees and reductions of corporate taxes. In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked provincial authorities to quickly plan socio-economic development so that investment projects would soon be implemented: “Quang Binh has many advantaged compared to other provinces. Quang Binh should continue to strengthen its links with other regions in Vietnam and with Laos and Thailand in the East-West economic corridor.”
