Spanning nearly 3,000 square meters, the center helps fulfill the commitment announced in January 2025 by the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology. The Department and FPT will invest jointly in research, technology development, and resources in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industries. The center will research and develop 10 new FPT products per year.
At the inauguration ceremony, Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee stressed the aim of having the digital economy contribute 35-40% of the city's gross regional domestic product by 2030.
According to Mr. Minh, FPT's high-tech and semiconductor R&D center will be an "incubator" where Vietnamese and foreign experts can jointly develop Make in Vietnam and Make in Da Nang products.
“We are committed to creating optimal conditions and environment for businesses, and getting the central government to offer incentives for establishing financial centers, centers for innovative startups, and centers for research and development. Efforts will be made to attract investors in high tech, IT, digital transformation, the support industry, high-end commercial centers, and entertainment areas,” said Minh.
