Red-carpet ceremony welcomes Laos’ top leader
(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and his spouse hosted a red-carpet welcome ceremony for General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse in Hanoi on Tuesday morning.

The visit takes place at a time when the two parties and two countries are actively implementing the resolutions set forth by each party’s congress, are preparing for the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 12th Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.
This is Thongloun Sisoulith's second visit to Vietnam since January 2021, the beginning of the term of the 11th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. It follows the State visit to Laos by General Secretary and President To Lam in his capacity as President in July 2024.
