Seminar discusses turning Hanoi into a smart city

(VOVWORLD) - Chairman of the Hanoi City People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said Hanoi will strive to become a smart city. 

At a seminar in Hanoi on Wednesday, Chung said Hanoi will adopt advanced and cost-effective technologies in administrative procedures, transportation, health care, education, and environmental protection.

Diane Farrell, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia at the US Department of Commerce, said the US supports Hanoi becoming a smart city and will continue to encourage US firms to connect with partners in Vietnam.
