(VOVworld) – A seminar was held in Hanoi on Tuesday to discuss 70 years of the National Assembly’s development. Vice-chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu highlighted the National Assembly’s role in each period of Vietnam’s history.

Since its inception, the National Assembly has issued 5 Constitutions and more than 1,000 legal documents to develop and fine-tune Vietnam’s legal system. Mr. Luu said: “The National Assembly has worked ceaselessly to improve its legislative work and represent voters’ opinions. The National Assembly has renewed its supervisory role to focus on major issues that are important to voters.”
