(VOVWORLD) - On Saturday, the town of West Point in eastern Mississippi was shaken by a series of shootings at multiple locations that left six people dead.
Police arrested a suspect the same day and are investigating the motive.
Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott said on Facebook that “innocent lives” were lost to violence, adding that the suspect is in custody and no longer poses a threat. A press briefing is expected today.
