The 62 million dollar project will benefit Ha Giang, Quang Nam, Lam Dong and Tra Vinh provinces in ensuring a minimum living standard for local people.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam says the project includes the building of a national database on poor households as well as educational and healthcare allowances:“The provinces are selected due to their poor population. Lessons will be drawn to duplicate the project in other provinces. Key beneficiaries are children below 15 in poor households and pregnant women.”
