The Southeastern Armed Forces Museum was established on February 5th, 1988. 160 thousand artifacts are on display at the museum, demonstrating the armed forces of Ho Chi Minh city and Vietnam’s southeastern provinces during the French and American wars. The museum has received million of tourists and soldiers over the past 25 years. The museum’s director, Colonel Nguyen Duy Thieu, told our reporter: The artifacts displayed at the museum reflect not only our forefathers’ glorious victories but also Vietnam’s military art, particularly the ingenious leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. In the modern era, we need to renovate our services to serve visitors, including soldiers and people from remote areas. We will also upgrade the museum, making it suitable to honor the achievements of the regional armed forces.
