At the event organized by the Vietnamese Cultural Center and Vietnamese associations and organizations in France, visitors were treated to traditional dishes such as banh chung (sticky rice cake), gio lua (pork sausage), nem ran (fried spring rolls), sugar coated fruits, and many regional specialties.
More than just a shopping destination, the Spring Market became a space for community gatherings and connections in the warmth of the early days of the lunar year. Besides the culinary offerings, lion dances, martial arts performances, and folk singing attracted the attention of many spectators.
“This is my first time here, and I feel the atmosphere of my homeland and miss Tet so much. It’s heartwarming as I meet so many Vietnamese people here. I am very happy and feel like I am celebrating Tet in my homeland,” said Ms. Mai Kim Ngoc, a Vietnamese expatriate in France.
Dinh Ngoc Duc, Director of the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France, told VOV, “We see that the community is very enthusiastic and happy to have a place to meet each other, a warm Tet celebration, and a very joyful spring market atmosphere. We think this is an activity that connects, preserves, and protects Vietnamese culture and together looks toward the homeland.”
