(VOVworld) – Syria’s unnamed security official said Damascus is ready to fight back a potential military attack at any time. The statement was made just several hours after the UN investigation team concluded their investigations on a suspected chemical attack in Syria on Saturday. The UN inspectors’ departure from Syria is considered as paving the way a potential military attack as US President Barack Obama on Friday said he decided to take military action against Syria. But Mr Obama said on Friday the US was planning a "limited, narrow" military response. Although the UN inspectors have not yet concluded their investigation in Syria, the US top diplomat John Kerry said Washington has the truth and that the investigation’s results will not reveal anything new to the world. Syrian State news agency Sana immediately dismissed Kerry’s statement, saying the claim is "full of lies", and that the opposition forces conducted the chemical weapon attack.

On Friday, Russian Presiden Vladimir Putin denied the US accusations that the Syrian government uses the chemical weapons and urged Washington to give evidences.
