President Sang reiterated this as a very important task of every judicial agency in which the people’s procuracy sector plays a significant role. He added that Vietnam still faces huge challenges in 2014 with economic difficulties, complex developments in the fight against wastefulness, an increase in a number of criminal activities. Meanwhile, he warned, hostile forces are always trying to cause social disorder and threaten our national sovereignty and territorial integrity. President Sang said: "The Supreme People’s Procuracy is urged to improve its prosecution responsibilities in controlling any activities related to detecting crimes and dealing with denunciations as well as filing charges in accordance with the law. It is necessary for the sector to closely cooperate with investigators to prevent any violations of citizens’ rights while abiding by the laws and the national Constitution." President Sang also called on the sector to review and develop regulations related its organization and activities. This will help build the revised Law on the organization of the People’s Supreme Procuracy and the revised Law on Criminal Procedure.
