(VOVWORLD) -Shortly after arriving at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport Monday noon for a State visit to Vietnam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping delivered a message.

Opening the message, Xi Jinping congratulated Vietnam on its great achievements in the revolutionary cause and national development. He emphasized that China and Vietnam are two neighboring socialist countries with shared mountains and rivers and close bond, being a community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
This year, the two countries are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the Year of Humanistic Exchange.
On this historic milestone, General Secretary and President Xi affirmed that China is willing to work with Vietnam to preserve and promote the long-standing traditional friendship, share the noble mission, seize the opportunities of the times, strengthen cooperation with higher standards, in many fields and at a deeper level, to bring more practical benefits to the people of the two countries, the region and the world.
