Top legislator visits Thailand to promote enhanced strategic partnership

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on Thursday began a 4-day official visit to Thailand.

According to Deputy Head of the National Assembly’s External Relations Committee Le Thu Ha, the visit aims to promote effective and substantive cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand in all fields and through all channels: Party, National Assembly, Government, and people-to-people exchanges.

It also aims to strengthen political trust, build and consolidate personal relationships between high-ranking leaders of Vietnam and Thailand, said Ms. Ha.

During the visit, both sides will discuss directions and measures to promote the enhanced strategic partnership between the two countries in the 2022-2027 period.

They will also touch upon on international and regional issues of mutual concern signed agreements on cooperation between the two legislatures and their respective agencies.

Ms. Ha said that Chairman Hue will meet senior leaders of Thailand and attend some political, diplomatic, economic and cultural events.
