(VOVWORLD) - The Uruguayan newspaper El Popular highlighted Vietnam's remarkable export performance of 33.6 billion USD in January, a 42% surge compared to the same period last year.
El Popular said Vietnam's export growth was driven by agriculture-forestry-fishery which saw a 97% increase and the processing industry which was up 38%.
El Popular, a publication affiliated with the Uruguayan Communist Party, citing the Ministry of Industry and Trade, reported that Vietnam attained a trade surplus of 2.92 billion USD in January.
It forecast a 6% increase in Vietnam’s trade turnover this year.
