Ms. Ngan stressed the need to complete a legal framework that promotes gender equality, protects women’s interests, and increases their participation in policy making and capacity building. 

“It is necessary to strengthen parliamentary activities to improve women’s capacity to respond to pandemics and promote women’s leadership in times of emergency. Attention should be given to expanding resources to achieve gender equality in society, particularly in raising public awareness of bias against women," Ms. Ngan said. 

"Multilateral cooperation should be broadened through legislative and executive channels to mobilize resources, share experience, and promote gender equality toward attaining sustainable development goals.”
