Vietnam, Argentina mark 45 years of diplomatic ties

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and Argentina have made progress in bilateral relations on the basis of similar history, mutual respect and understanding, and common interests since they officially established diplomatic relations on October 25, 1973. 

Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Dang Xuan Dung made the statement on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. Mr. Dung said Argentina is Vietnam’s second largest trading partner in Latin America and Vietnam is Argentina’s second largest market in Asia and fourth globally.

Ambassador Dung highlighted the future cooperation potential between Vietnam and Argentina and called on the two countries to promote economic and trade relations, support each other’s development, and expand cooperation in investment, energy, agriculture, telecommunication, education, and tourism. 

Mr. Dung said Vietnam and Argentina need to complete the legal framework for a comprehensive partnership and urged the two countries to learn about each other’s culture, people, markets, laws, and investment environment to connect their businesses, promote investment projects, and strengthen people-to-people exchanges.
