On Thursday alone, Vietnam won 5 gold medals. With this achievement, Vietnam temporarily rose to the second place in the overall medal tally, just after the host nation, Thailand with 31 gold medals.
Also on Thursday, the Vietnam U22 Men's Football team won 2-0 against the U22 Malaysia team, topping Group B and securing a spot in the men's football semi-finals. The Vietnam Women's Football team claimed a 2-0 victory over the Myanmar Women's team to advance to the semi-finals, where they will face the Indonesia Women's team.
