Vietnam digital training project helps 400 disadvantaged youths

(VOVWORLD) - More than 400 disadvantaged youths in Vietnam have received vocational training, life skills, and employment support through the "Towards the Future of Digital Transformation in Vietnam" project, implemented by Plan International Vietnam and the REACH Institute over the past year.

The project, running from April 2024 to March 2025, focused on short-term training in 2D and 3D graphic design and digital marketing, while also equipping students with soft skills and job placement support.

At the project’s closing ceremony on Friday in Hanoi, Nguyen Thanh Huyen, project coordinator from the REACH Institute, said the project had a total budget of 78,000 USD and aimed to enhance the digital skills of disadvantaged youth, helping them build a career in IT.

“We’ve provided vocational training to over 200 disadvantaged youths, with 85% of them securing a job after graduation. More than 400 young people have received gender equality and employment counseling, to help them integrate more confidently into society,” said Huyen.
