(VOVworld) - The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) hosted a function on Friday to honor foreign travel agents for sending big numbers of international tourists to Vietnam and also introduce them to new tourist products and development policies.

The honored travel companies are from 17 countries including the US, UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, Australia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, and Laos. At the event, VNAT and tourism industry leaders introduced new tourism products and discussed the trends of key markets, especially newly-emerging markets and suggested appropriate strategies and marketing promotions.
Since the beginning of this year, Vietnam welcomed 7.2 million foreign tourists, an increase of 5.4% against last year.
