Vietnam records 108 new COVID-19 cases by Sunday noon

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded 108 new COVID-19 cases between 6pm Saturday to 12pm Sunday. They include 80 cases in Bac Giang, 10 in Ho Chi Minh City, 15 in Bac Ninh, 1 in Hai Phong, 1 in Long An, and 1 in Hai Duong.

54 patients recovered the same day increasing the total number of recoveries in Vietnam to 2,950. 

By Sunday noon, Vietnam had 5,462 locally-transmitted COVID-19 cases and 1,502 imported cases. Since the latest COVID-19 wave emerged in Vietnam on April 27, 3,892 cases have been confirmed positive to the coronavirus. Bac Giang province with more than 1,800 cases and Bac Ninh with more than 730 cases are the hardest hit.   

11 localities including Yen Bai, Quang Ngai, Dong Ngai, Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Quang Nam, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue, Dak Lak, Nam Dinh, and Hoa Binh haven’t detected any new COVID-19 patients in the last 14 days.
