(VOVworld)-Vietnam Foreign Ministry spokesman has responded to reporters’ question on response to China’s mobilization of several maritime patrol ships to the East Sea, including Vietnam’s Hoang Sa and Truong Sa areas. Spokesman Luong Thanh Nghi was addressing a press briefing on Thursday: “Vietnam confirms its national sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes. Any activities in the area without Vietnam’s consent violate Vietnam’s national sovereignty and we definitely protest.”

At the press briefing, the spokesman informed several upcoming visits by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, including his participation at a cooperative high-level meeting between Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam in Vientiane.
