Specifically, the waiver is applicable to citizens from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Belarus, who will be allowed stay in Vietnam for up to 15 days without a visa regardless of their passport type and entry purpose.

The waivers will last for three years, starting from March 15, 2022 to March 14, 2025, and an extension could be tabled in line with Vietnamese laws.

Before the pandemic, Vietnam offered unilateral visa exemption policy for these 13 countries, Vietnam's major tourism markets.

Vietnam has fully reopened tourism since March 15, 2022.
