Economists and representatives of associations, enterprises, and international organizations discussed new approach of export promotion  with a  focus on mindset change and action plans of businesses by promoting value chains, designing medium and long-term plans for export development, as well as boosting e-commerce and the digital technology platforms.

Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, called on businesses to take the initiative in renovation, improvement in production capacity as well as product value to meet consumers’ increasing demand.

“In the future, the promotion of exports through e-commerce will be one of priorities of the Trade Promotion Department and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. We will aim to  improve skills in trade and export promotion via e-commerce and invite global providers of e-commerce services to come to Vietnam for cooperation and support,” said Phu.
