(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs on Friday held a consultation conference with ministries and sectors on the policy dossier for the amended Law on Belief and Religion.

The draft aims to establish a clear and unified legal framework for diversifying religious and belief activities, while creating a transparent, open, and convenient environment for individuals and organizations to conduct such activities online in a timely and effective manner.
It also clarifies the responsibilities of individuals and organizations participating in religious and belief activities in cyberspace, as well as those of state agencies, telecommunications providers, and internet service companies.
The proposed revisions emphasize flexibility, user-friendliness, and timely access to updated information to meet people’s diverse needs regarding beliefs and religion.
Conference delegates praised the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs for its close coordination with ministries, sectors, localities, and religious organizations in reviewing the implementation of the 2016 Law in order to propose comprehensive amendments that meet new requirements.
