Vietnam, South Africa explore air logistics cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam's industry and trade officials have discussed with South African airlines, such as Airlink and South African Airways, ways to expand air logistics cooperation. De Villiers Engelbrecht, Airlink’s Chief Financial Officer, said:

"There's no connectivity with airlines, so there's a  great opportunity for an airline like Airlink, with 70 connections in the Southern African region. It can be a company like Vietjet with expensive networks, and 120 aircrafts to provide connectivity to passengers between Southern Africa and Vietnam," said De Villiers Engelbrecht, Airlink’s Chief Financial Officer.

Experts believe that, given the geographical locations of South Africa and Vietnam, opportunities for cooperation in aviation and logistics are not limited to the two countries but can also be expanded to other African nations.
