Vietnam strengthens healthcare cooperation with South Korea, Japan
(VOVWORLD) - Acting Health Minister Dao Hong Lan held separate meetings on Tuesday with the Ambassadors of the Republic of Korea and Japan to Vietnam to discuss further cooperation.

At a reception for RoK Ambassador Park Noh Wan, Ms. Lan thanked the Korean Government and people for helping Vietnam fight the COVID-19 pandemic, and said the Ministry hopes to continue cooperating with Korea in epidemic prevention.
Ms. Lan called for more Korean investment and experience sharing in healthcare. She also urged Korea to provide with training programs for Vietnamese medical managers and staff.
While receiving Japanese Ambassador Yamada Takio, who represents the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Ms. Lan said she hopes Japan will continue providing vaccines and medical equipment and supporting specific programs in preventive medicine.
She said many Vietnamese experts will visit Japan and Vietnam will receive Japanese experts to work, share experience, and transfer technology, particularly in specialized fields that require a high level of technical expertise.
