Vietnam takes gold at 2025 Women's World Pétanque Championship
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s pétanque players delivered a commanding performance in the final of the 2025 Women’s World Pétanque Championship, winning a gold medal in France on Sunday.
In the final match, Vietnam overwhelmed Thailand, securing a 13–1 victory to claim the world championship title.
In the semi-finals, Vietnam handed a 13–10 defeat to a Belgian team that had eliminated one of the two French teams—from the homeland of Pétanque—in the quarterfinals.
