The event titled “Golden threads - Weaving aspirations” also draws 600 performers and models, and 37 ambassadors from various fields.
Among the 17 major events, a centerpiece this Sunday morning will feature a mass folk dance performance and an Ao Dai parade, marking the anniversary of the Trung Sisters’ Uprising and International Women’s Day. Organizers expect about 50,000 participants across different venues, including around 3,000 on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street in Saigon Ward.
Locals and visitors can dive into the Ao Dai-themed exhibition and interactive zones along Nguyen Hue street, complete with art installations that connect the traditional dress with the city’s food scene, tourism hotspots and classic handicrafts.
They can also experience the “Ao Dai and Metro” journey, hopping the metro line at Ben Thanh and Opera House stations to connect all the must-see experiential tourism spots.
