Vietnam to increase national reserves

(VOVworld) - Vietnam’s national reserves will account for 0.8-1% of GDP by 2015 and 1.5% of GDP by 2020. The targets were set in the National Reserve Development Strategy until 2020, recently approved by the Prime Minister. The strategy defines 5 categories of reserved commodities related to socio-economic security, natural disaster response and rescue services, national defense and security, disease prevention, and emergency control of humans, livestock, and plants.
