Implementing a government resolution dated May 2023 and celebrating the 63rd anniversary of the Vietnam's tourism industry, the delegates agreed on developing tourism products to meet the needs of tourists and stepping up promotion. They stressed the need to coordinate with the state management agencies, organizations and individuals abroad to introduce new policies on the entry and exit of Vietnam in order to attract more international tourists.
Nguyen Trung Khanh, Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said, “Visa policy, the most difficult problem, has been removed. That is only a necessary condition. Vietnam's tourism needs to be more attractive and more competitive, which requires more coordinated solutions. We have to create unique and appealing tourism products and carry out the promotion in a stronger, more methodical and professional way.
"Attention should also be paid to the destination management, especially safety, security, and favorable conditions for travelers in Vietnam,” he said.
Vietnam’s National Assembly in June approved a bill to extend the validity of electronic visas for foreigners to 90 days with multiple entry from the current 30 days.
