Vietnam welcomes record number of foreign arrivals in Q1
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam served over 6 million international visitors in the first quarter of 2025—a record high and a 29.6% increase compared to the same period last year. China and South Korea remained the top source markets.

European arrivals also saw strong growth, with the UK, France, and Germany posting double-digit increases. Notably, Russian visitor numbers surged by 110.5%. Arrivals from Poland and Switzerland rose by nearly 53% and over 14% respectively.
The growth is partly attributed to Vietnam’s short-term visa exemption program for citizens of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland, which began in early March and will run through the end of 2025 as part of the national tourism stimulus program.
