Vietnam wins big at ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026

(VOVWORLD) - 25 Vietnamese destinations and establishments won the ASEAN Tourism Awards at a ceremony on Friday as part of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2026 held in the Philippines.

Notably, at the 5th ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Awards themed “Environmentally Friendly Tourism Destinations,” Co To Island in Quang Ninh was recognized in the Sustainable Rural Product category, while Hon May Rut Trong–Hon Dugong Bay in An Giang  province received an award in the Urban Sustainable Product category.

Meanwhile, the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award was conferred on Quy Nhon Tourist City in Gia Lai province, Cua Lo Tourist City in Nghe An province, and Hoa Lu Tourist City in Ninh Binh province. Vietnam also garnered honors at the ASEAN Green Hotel Awards and the ASEAN MICE Venue Awards across multiple categories.

As part of the ASEAN Tourism Forum held in the Philippines, Vietnam organized a national tourism promotion booth at the TRAVEX 2026 Travel Exchange, hosted a press conference to showcase Vietnamese tourism, and provided information on tourism policies and key tourism products.
