Vietnam-China relations continue to prosper

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese ambassador to China Nguyen Van Tho said that in 2014 despite a number of difficulties, relations between Vietnam and China remained stable. In an interview granted to the Voice of Vietnam, ambassador Tho said that both countries will organize several activities to mark the 65th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties this year. The two countries will continue to seek ways to address remaining differences, particularly over the East Sea issue, he added: “Visit exchanges will help to increase mutual understanding and trust between the two Parties and countries. It’s also important to increase people-to-people exchanges, particularly exchanges between localities and youths.”

Tho said that the Vietnamese community in China always turns to the homeland, contributing significantly to Vietnam’s construction and defense. He wished them a happy new year and hoped that they will continue to foster friendship between the two countries.
