Vietnam-China Youth festival in Guangxi, China

(VOVworld) – 3,000 young Vietnamese are attending the 2nd Vietnam-China Youth Festival in 7 cities of China’s Guangxi province. On Monday, 450 delegates participated in an exchange with teachers and students of secondary school No.2 in Qinzhou city and visited the Nixing pottery showroom, the city’s administrative complex, trade center, international seaport, and economic zone.

At a meeting on Sunday with the leaders of the Vietnamese delegation, Secretary of Qinzhou city’s Party Committee Xao Yingxiu said the Vietnam-China Youth Festival is a important event initiated by the two countries’ leaders. The festival aims to boost friendship between the two countries’ young people.

Also on Sunday, 300 young Vietnamese visited the Ho Chi Minh exhibit and the border market at the China-ASEAN free trade area in Chongzuo city. They attended the launch of a program in which Vietnamese and Chinese youth will work together to build a safe ASEAN Highway. The Highway will boost economic and trade activities between ASEAN countries and China.

The same day, 700 Vietnamese met with leaders of Lieuzhou city. In the evening, they participated in an exchange with Chinese youth at Guangxi Science and Technology University and signed a Friendship Wall.
