Vietnamese, Indian armies conduct integrated field exercise on peacekeeping
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations under the Ministry of National Defense, and the Indian side on Thursday organized an integrated field scenario simulation in Hanoi as part of the 2025 Vietnam – India bilateral army exercise on UN peacekeeping operations (VINBAX 2025).

The exercise featured three scenarios. The first related to planned mine and explosive ordnance clearance, and response when a peacekeeper is wounded.
The second scenario involved an engineering team responding to a crowd accusing UN personnel of sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA).

In the third scenario, the engineering team worked with other forces to provide humanitarian assistance for victims of an earthquake and collapsed structures, including medical care and aeromedical evacuation.

The exercise was successful, helping participating forces master procedures, skills, and coordination mechanisms needed for handling integrated scenarios in a UN peacekeeping mission environment.
