Vietnamese study archeology exhibition in Egypt
(VOV) – A visiting Vietnamese delegation led by Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, met with Egypt’s Minister of Antiquities Mohamed Ibrahim Ali in Cairo yesterday/ on Sunday. He told the host that the delegation is on a study tour in Egypt to gain experience in organizing, designing and displaying artifacts for their exhibition later in the basement of the new National Assembly building as part of an overall project covering the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, which has been recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage. Thang praised Egypt’s efforts to conserve, exploit and promote the values of historical monuments. He hoped that Vietnam and Egypt will sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in this field in the near future.
