Mr. Cong is a contributor to the Vietnam Economic and Trade Annual Report 2023 which was released on Tuesday. The report presents three scenarios for GDP growth in Vietnam for 2024: 5.21%, 5.78%, 6.21%.

“We prefer the high-growth scenario as growth exceeded 5% in the first quarter of 2024 and is forecast to continue its aggressive streak in the subsequent quarters, especially the last quarter. I believe that the scenario of more than 6% for 2024 is feasible,” said Associate Professor Cong.

The report also provides recommendations on sustainable development, digital transformation, trade development, and investment attraction.
