(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary and State President To Lam on Monday presented decisions appointing Vietnamese ambassadors to foreign countries for the 2024-2027 tenure.

Assigning tasks to the ambassadors, the top leader affirmed that this is an honor and a great responsibility that the Party, State and people have entrusted them with. Vietnam's global position is elevated and Vietnam actively and responsibly participates in multilateral forums, he said.
In particular, it is expanding its relationships and cooperation in all areas, not only through state diplomacy but also through Party and people-to-people diplomacy channels; and in the fields of not just diplomacy, but also socio-economics, culture, security, and defense.

Ambassadors are not only bridges but must also actively implement the Party and State's policies, leading efforts in foreign relations, he stressed, requiring them to embody the spirit of "self-reliance, confidence, independence, resilience, and national pride".
The General Secretary and President asked the new ambassadors to enhance Vietnam's role and position in world politics, global economy, and human civilization, creating a solid premise to steer the country to a new era of national rise.
